Avid Confirms Delay in MC FCP Crossgrade Shipments
I got this email this morning, thought it might be of general interest.
Hello,
First, I would like to thank you for your recent FCP to Media Composer crossgrade order on the Avid Store.
As you probably know by now, the FCP to Media Composer crossgrade was a huge success and as such we did not anticipate the order demand. We have experienced a delay in receiving the Media Composer product into our US and European warehouses. This will cause the fulfillment of your order to also be delayed. We should fulfill your order no later than:
· US, Canada, APAC and Australia – Customer shipments will begin October 26, 2011
· EMEA – Customer shipments will begin November 2, 2011.If you have been using the Media Composer 5.5 product in Software Trial mode and the 30 day period will or has expired before you have or expect to receive your order, please send an email to cu***************@**id.com and include your name, Avid Store order # and email address.
We will make every effort to issue you a temporary license to use until your order arrives.
We thank you for your patience and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
