    Hello,

I have imported an audio clip, recorded with my Zoom h4n recorder. The clip is 2 minutes long. There are two parts of the clip in which the audio is clipped and there is a frame or a few frames of spiked noise. At first I thought that something was wrong with my recorder or with my SD card.

However it turns out that when I listen to the clip with audio players or when I import it into another editing tool, there seem to be nothing wrong with the clip. There are no “bad” frames of spiked noise. The clip is flawless.

I made sure that the audio settings are same as the source: 48khz 24bit.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? What is the cause of this and what is the solution?

What happens if you right click and “set audio gain” to something like -10? CD imports come in hot a lot as well. Something to try.
