  Avid AMA Sony XDCAM footage coming in partly offline

  I’m having a huge problem when linking to Sony XDCAM footage AMA. It seems each clip I link to contains several clips inside of it. There are several red markers already embedded in the clips, and a few frames of offline material at some of them. When I try to transcode I get the error “Assertion failed: FALSE” when it finished. I’ve attempted to subclip out parts of the clip and then transcode, which allows me to get some usable footage out, but there are chunks which continually give me the same error. Is there some way to work around this? Converting the files or anything?

  Any help is much appreciated.
