Avid-After Effects round tripping.
For years working I would round trip from Avid by exporting to Avid DNxHD_projects settings, work in AE in a Rec709(16-235) color space then export to the same Avid project settings codec. Import in Avid(Fast import) and maintain my colors all the way through. The recent changes to the Avid codec in AE seems ahead of the how the codec works in Avid and now I can’t maintain colors properly. Colors that are proper in AE 16-235 import into Avid at 29-218(or worse), despite everything I do to import correctly. . If I import the rendered files back into AE, they are read properly and display the colors correctly.
The only workflow that I’ve gotten that’s maintained color properly was setting my Working Space in AE to None and then exporting to using the Avid DNxHD RGB 444 10-bit resolution, no fast import. Is this a known bug & is it being worked on currently?
