    Hello,

how do you repair XDCAM EX media?
The camera used is a Sony PMWF3. Recording media are two SxS cards. One 64GB and one 32GB both Sony.

The folder structure of the recording media got corrupted and Avid won’t import the whole card correctly. If you are going to AMA link the folder, Avid imports all clips as Quicktime files, but they are XDCAM EX files in a mp4 container.
Error message WRONG FORMAT shows in source monitor and if you are trying to transcode those files, the transcoded files show the same error message in source monitor: WRONG FORMAT.

The solution from Avid is to manually repair the files by copying the clips one-by-one into a new folder with Sony’s Content Browser.
I did that with five clips and it works. Avid will import all five automatically.
My problem is, that i’ve got 200 clips and to manually import them takes very long.

Do you know of a faster way to restructure/repair the folder structure of that card?
How is it happening that the card’s folder structure gets corrupted?
