Avid 2.8.1 can’t see 576/50i footage from P2
Hi all,
We have a couple of Avids but I need to get this one working, I know it’s a bit older!
It’s 2.8.1 working on a PC using a Dongle. It works on a tower and a laptop so I know this issue is related to the software, not the hardware.
Both the laptop and tower versions of the edit system can ‘see’ 1080/50i footage (shot on an AG HPX 171 camera) but the same project will not recognise 576/50i DVC Pro or DV (SD) footage.
I can’t see that this is down to the 25i settings in the project as it can read the HD footage. Is there a work around for this or is it just impossible to get this P2 footage working on 2.8.1 (even though it has P2 option?!)

Cancel that, we’ve just found the footy, sounds silly but it was buried in amongst all the HD stuff and we just couldn’t find it!
