    Hello RED friends,

    I have a client who wants me to convert 83GB worth of RED 2k & 4K footage into AVID 1080 DNx 175 29.97 but it was all shot at 23.98 SO i am wondering what the best way to do this would be. I would start with RedRushes to do the initial conform but then I still need to get the clips from 1080p 23.98 to 29.97!

    I need to have some way of providing the time code info as well in case it is lost in my method of delivering a drive with the conformed / transcoded footage.

    any thoughts on how to do this?

    Are they absolutely sure they want to handle this at 29.97? The proper way to do it would be to work in 23.98, then playout the finished piece to 29.97.

    yeah we wanted to do the option you recommend but for whatever reason they want the media itself not on tap as 29.97 : (
