    hello.
i need to split lots of avi with 6 channel audio, anyone found a quicker way to split the audio then in premiere manualy clicking, split to mono wavs. ? ? ? ?

    Any freeware/third party tools around?

    Thanks.

    Here’s how I do it….

    – Put the avi into the source window of Premiere

    – select File>export Audio

    – ensure ‘whole clip’ is selected

    – give it a name then…

    – open Audition

    – open the above file

Now audition will create 6 mono wav’s.

If I wan’t to create 3 x stereo’s I then bring them into auditions multitrack window and pan L/R each track pair and do a mixdown.

    hi,
select the clip in the project window then go to clips-> audio options-> “breakout to mono clips” should work fine
