AVI Videos Work on Computer but not Laptop ?
Hey I have this weird issue I can Edit and change AVI Files from FRAPS perfectly On my PC without any problem. Yet on my Laptop for Sony Vegas 12 it says None Of the files dropped on Sony Vegas could be opened. On Sony Vegas 13 as soon as I try to Open the File it instantly *Stops Responding* and I have to force close it.
Anyone have a answer at all ? -

I’m thinking you’ve got other/different CODECs on your PC. At some point those CODECs have been installed. Vegas install with the CODECS it needs.
Put that AVI file through MediaInfo and determine what CODEC it needs and what CODECS are available. Compare this for your PC and your Laptop.

Do you have FRAPS installed on your laptop? If not, you’ve found the problem (you’re missing the FRAPS codec on your laptop).

A Codec simply is missing from your laptop, that you already have on your PC.
