AVI video for QT?

If they won’t open in Quicktime you can either try VLC player – https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html
Or install the DivX Mac client – https://www.divx.com and XviD – https://www.xvid.org/ which will allow th movie to open in QT player.

You still might not be able to play it if it was encoded in a strange PC-only codec. AVI is a rubbish, totally outdated format (no av sync, not streamable, not error-resistant, etc) yet there are many people who still swear by it – all of them PC users.
