    Hi there!

Im on After Effects 22.2.0(Build 120) – on BigSur 11.6.5

I’ve been trying to search online any solution or work around this, but I haven’t had any luck yet.

Basically Im trying to figure out if anyone knows a way to export / import AVI files on AE 2022 – since the removal of support for legacy 32-bit Quicktime codecs. I wonder if there is a plugin or something I should install to get this sorted without going through external apps and pre-convert the files to be able to import them.

Also same for exporting, Im dealing with 1000’s of files and basically using intermediate files to be able to have a .avi seems that is just adding extra work on a big scale pipeline.

The files open nicely on VLC (so is definitely not damaged ) , but if I try to open them in AE it just crashes and shows a lot of errors, and also there is no way I can get .avi exported from AE either.

Anyone who has the same situation, and have found a way around this please feel free to share it.

    Thanks!
