AVI on a MAC
A client has sent me some AVI files (smartphone probably). AME says no video/audio stream, Episode Pro — Failed. Imagine’s HD-VU2 will play it, but the audio is sped up.
The files will play on my PC in Media Player, but I don’t see a way to transcode from Media Player to something I can edit.Any suggestions on how I might get these file into a form that I can edit?

To answer my own question; I was able to download (free) from the Apple store Smartconverter. This transcoded the pesky AVI to an h.264, and I’m off and editing.
