Avi-files in after effects
Ok, I’m new to all this. Is it possible to add cinematic after effects to avi-files, i e color adjustment and change frame rate? Or does it have to be uncompressed?

You can import many, many different kinds of files into After Effects, including AVI files. See “Supported import formats”.
If you’re just starting out, I strongly recommend that you start here.
