    Hi

I have a load of avi clips I need to use in my Final Cut Project. When I export them to avi the image gets all jittery

Is there another way of exporting these avi’s so that the image is smooth.

PS: tried to export using compressor but the outcome was still jittery.

    Thanks

    Zee. 🙂

That sounds like a field issue. Somewhere the wrong fields are being chosen when exporting to AVIs.

Tell us more about your video clips. What are the original clips in FCP? What codec and screen size?

The issue usually occurs because SD video is 720×486 lower field. AVIs are traditionally, if large size, being 640×480 upper field. This can be a real problem when exporting.
