The film is done. It’s 90 minutes long. Shot using AVCIntra100, 23.98fps it was imported and has been editing using Apple ProRez Proxy. I understand how to do the re-import to uprez the movie but the question is: To WHAT?

Initially I thought of re-importing the AVC files as Apple ProRez files. But now knowing that the AVCIntra format is actually 10-Bit, I’m inclined to go ProRezHQ. Make sense? I am looking to make the final film look excellent and storage is cheap but I’d like to be pragmatic in matching the right high rez codec. Thoughts? Thanks.

All ProRes codecs are 10-bit. 4444 is 12-bit for the alpha channel.

    All the best,

Now you need to reconnect the original AVC-Intra and transfer as Prores HQ.
