    AVCHD Trimming M2TS, MTS with Sony PlayMemories Home

    I like to trim my AVCHD helmet cam videos without re-encoding. I’ve been doing that wonderfully with the program that came with my Sony PJ710 camera on a win 7 machine.

    I just got a Windows 8, ADK computer for editing and now PlayMemories won’t read the files. Only audio plays. I’ve downloaded the Shark007 codecs which got the files to play in WMP (they play on VLC, too) so I know there are valid codecs. But even the latest edition of Sony PlayMemories Home won’t play.

    For now I’m trimming on the Win 7 computer.

    Any ideas?
