AVCHD Quality Loss in AE
I am using the Sony HDR-SR11e. When I play the videos directly from the camera using the AVCHD Player that came with the camera, the quality is considerably better than when I import the .m2ts files into AE. Does anybody know why this is or have a solution?

Probably a color space issue. Make sure your project color space settings and footage color space settings are the same. Specifics can be found in the manual or by searching the Cow for “Color Space”.

That’s my initial guess. I would need more info on what you mean by bad quality. Color/gamma shift? Blurry? Pixelated? Interlaced?
Is the resolution set to Full and the layer’s quality set to best. If yes, then it is probably something that interpret footage would correct.
