AVCHD Multiple Import Files
Just been through the first 5 Premiere Pro Tutorials. Excellent. However, when I drag the “Private” folder into the project panel, it appears to contain 4 exact copies of the same file. What’s up with that?

You cannot import some file types directly, go to View > Media Browser and browse to your footage location, then drag the clips from this pane to your library. This should bring in each take as a single file.
What you are currently seeing are spanned clips: multiple clips that are each a part of a single take.

But they appear to be all the same clip. So, in AVCHD, where do I find the individual clips?

Can you post a screenshot of Premiere’s full window? I’d like to see what is going on without assuming too much.

I think I just posted a screen shot, but I’m not sure. Sorry to be such a newbie. Anyway, now I have another problem, which is I can’t seem to reconnect the AVCHD media to the projects. Any help greatly appreciated.
