    Readers,

I’m having a problem that’s driving me insane. I work at a internet TV station in The Netherlands. And were using Sony HDV camera’s that
uses the well known AVCHD format. Shown as: .M2tS

When i want to use this files in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 the footage plays like a charm. But the audio is scrambled. It’s a bunch of
noise and grainy sounds. First i tought it had something to do with the way i recorded it. But when i played the file in VLC media player
the audio just played fine, no noise or grain. When i play it in Windows Media Player it shows my footage but no audio.

Basiclly the situation is like this:

Adobe Premiere PRO CS4 – Footage: Fine Audio: Scrambled
Windows Media Player – Footage: Fine Audio: No Audio.
VLC media player – Footage: Fine Audio: Fine

I shot the footage on Memory pro stick duo (8gig and 16gig)

The strange part is that some of the footage i recorderd earlyer is playing fine. No scrambled audio. It looks like it depends
on what camera i use. Since we use two same type camera’s this shouldn’t be a problem.

Does anyone recognize this problem? Please help me out 🙂 If you need any further information just let me know in reply.

    Thanks in advance.

    Friso.

Experiencing the very same thing here, in Pr Pro CS5. Imported AVCHD footage into Pr Pro, footage plays fine, however, no audio. Playing the clip in VLC renders audio like it should. Can anyone please advice?

    Thanks!
