AVCHD FCP X (Private Grayed Out)
Hi friends,
I’m experiencing issues with importing FS700 AVCHD footage into Final Cut Pro X. Let me start by saying I’ve never had this problem before.
When I try to Import Media, the contents of the SD card are grayed out. Continuing to import gives me a “No Importable Files” message. When I show package contents on the card, everything seems to be in order (file structure maintained, etc). Wanted to see if anyone has insight into troubleshooting.
Specs:
Camera: FS700 (1080p24)
FCP 10.0.8
Computer: iMac 3.4 GHz Intel i7
OS 10.8.3Backstory: This is a rental iMac but I’m booting it with a clone from my usual work station.
Weird right? Any solutions besides assuming there’s something rotten with the SD card itself?

have same issue; 10.0.9 & osx 10.8.4
