I shot an hour an a half program as one clip onto P2 cards in avc intra 50 1080 30pn. I am having a problem with three different laptops and towers where the spanned clips are taking an enormously long time to transfer to pro res using FCP studio 2’s Log and Transfer. Does anyone have any idea what is happening? I have log&transfer AVC Intra100 plenty of times and never experienced this. I have even log&transfered AVC Intra50 before and didn’t have problems but none of the clips were longer than 5 minutes and none spanned multiple p2 cards as one long record.

    any ideas please?

    thanks,

    Chris

[Chris Baldwin] “an enormously long time”
And what would that be. 1hr? 2? 3? 30 days?

The first 16 gig P2 card took one hour to log and transfer which is much longer than DVCPro100 or even the AVC Intra100 clips I normally shoot.

The second took 5 hours over night before we decided to try to restart the whole system and try again. It is now 2 hours in again and not making very good progress.
