I have a video piece and an audio piece that were recorded simultaneously but on different devices. The Video is .mov and the sound is .mp3. I can sync them up in Movie Studio Platinum, but after the video roles in the preview window for about 2 or 3 minutes the audio and video get out of synch again.

I can think of only two solutions to this, and I would like to know what some more experienced people think.

    1. I could stretch or shrink the audio to match the video.
    2. I could stretch or shrink the video to match the audio.

Which one of these things is best to do in MS Platinum? Which one would produce the best results?

    Thank you,
    Justin

I would not shrink either. I would sync the audio with the video. Make a cut in the audio track when it starts to drift and move it back in sync. This way nothing is stretched. Let the events overlap for the few frames it takes to get back in sync. It should sound seamless.
