For an annual title sequence we created a look in After Effects 6.5 that took a character shot on blue screen, bloated the key, autotraced it with tolerance and roundness settings set so that we achieved a rough “cut out with scissors” look that we used as a stroke behind the character. But After Effects 7 has “improved” the autotrace tool (it is much better for cleaning keys etc.) and we cannot achieve this same look. Does anyone know of a way around this problem? something I’m overlooking in autotrace, or a plug-in that achieves similar effects. Thanks,

    Sam
