Autosave Vault not working correctly in FCP 5?
We spent the other night working until 3am on a project. When we re-opened the project today to continue working on it, it looks like about 5.5 hours worth of work was simply missing. Everything after 9:30pm is gone. I went into the autosave vault in Final Cut Pro (which we have set to autosave every 30 minutes) and the 30-minute autosaves stop at 9:37pm and then resume the next day around noon. I looked in the render files folder and found the elements we had rendered right up to 3am so the system looks like it was doing everything else right but I’m clueless as to why the saves and autosaves stopped working at 9:37 and dreading the thought of now having to stay another night re-doing 5 hours worth of work. Any thoughts?

I thought I should reply, I posted the same problem here weeks ago. I’m having the same problems on three different system at three different companies, All with similar hardware and (of course) different preferences.
I’ve trashed the preference and crossed my fingers but they still randomly save anything from 15 minutes to a couple of hours apart. I tried setting FCP to save between 15 and 30 minutes in case a particular time caused the bug…
All was well on 4.5, All the systems were wiped clean before installing FCP studio too. All running latest drivers, OS.
