Autosave Error
Hey Gang,
Just wanted to squirt up a post about an Autosave error that I keep seeing from time to time. Its a random event so narrowing down this issue is going to be tough.
Anyway… I work like normal and have my Autosave set to every ten minutes (safety is important to us). Most of the time, everything runs as normal as can be. BUT… every now and then, I get an error box that will pop up saying “Autosave: File Error: Unknown File” and it will not save. Now, if I restart my Mac Pro, it work work just fine for a while and then start doing it again.
Now, here’s the loop…. This happens on all three of out computers (one G5 and two Mac Pros).
Anyone else see this…

Hi Wayne,
Thanks God this haven’t happens to me but just to suggest something; Could this be related with the number of projects(limited) that you keep in the Autosave folder?

I try to clear out the autosaves once a day (except for the most recent), especially with large projects. d.

Actually… I did think about that and I have backed up all of my old projects and paired the Autosave folder down to just a few projects.

I’ve thought of doing this but what if you need to go back along ways into your project for some strange reason… I’ve had to do this before because of corrupt media.
