Automating Render Queue Help
Posted by Eric Goldstein on October 5, 2006 at 12:27 amHi,
I have a large number of individual clips that need to be rendered (almost two thousand). Is there a way to automate setting up the render so that I retain the clip’s name as the name of the rendered clip and is there a way to automatically set the timeline time code in the render queue from each of the clips?
Thanks,
Eric

October 5, 2006 at 3:26 pmHi Reloaded,
Thanks for the thought, but I’m looking for something different. I need to a way to take a long series of clips and automate placing them in the render queue using the name of the clip as the name in the output module and using the timeline in out for the render in out.
Colin mentioned doing this via scripting. Can anyone point me toward a resource that would help me figure out how to script this?
Thanks,
Eric

October 5, 2006 at 6:15 pmHi RenderNYC,
Dragging the clips to the render queue gives me the clips with correct clip name, but I’m looking for an
automated way of getting the in and out timecode from the time line for each clip rather than having to enter the times manually. To explain further – I have almost two thousand clips that I have to render as clips with
specific names. I’m trying to see if there is some way to take the timecode information from the comp and get it into the correct clip in the render cue and do the same with each clip name. Thanks,
Eric
