I wonder if there is a way to automatically align a layer to some elements of the raster image on another layer. Let’s say the raster image consists of a black background with a white dot on it. The task is to automatically align one of the layers to the center of that dot. Is there a way? Is there a way to do it with vector layers? This ability would open all kinds of possibilities for animations based on other animations but it would require for AE to actually “know” about elements of the raster image such as brightness values and I don’t think it is possible… There needs to be some sort of raster-to-vector tracing plugin for this to work… but I may be missing some obvious and simple solution… Any ideas?

Tracking would be the solution.. i think!

    – Track the Dot
    – Aply TrackingData to Null
    – Parrent STUFF to Null and Enjoy 😉
