  • Automatic update chapters on menues in DVDA from vegas pro?

I created a long video with lots of chapters in Sony Vegas Pro 13, created an animated DVD menu in Architect 6, and sent proof to the client.

Client loves it but wants all the chapters in Spanish, and gave me the translation.

I changed all the chapters in vegas timeline, and rendered final version.

I replaced the old media with the new media in architect and imported the new markers. The marker names changed on the outline on the left side, but now on the scene selection pages themselves.

Is there any easy way to propagate the new marker names to the scene selection menus? Or do I have to retype the test on each page?

This has happened more than once before, so I thought I would ask before doing it manually.

No easy way that I know if. That’s a one-shot import for the chapter menus so you’d have to tell DVD Architect to create the chapter menus again.

If you did a lot of customization on the chapter menus, here is a possible work-around: Save one as a template, then delete them and have DVD Architect create them again, and then apply the template that you saved and they should look the same as before.

    Thanks John,

I have tried the template thing in the past, and I must not do it right because I end up doing as much work as just starting over.

However, at your suggestion, I will try the template option.

I think what I did was to go to the new chapter page and just double-click the template in the browser and the whole thing was applied to the page (as apposed to dragging and dropping it). I know it’s not perfect but it should get you close.
