Automatic Transition
when i use the shortcut, APPLE – T to apply a basic dissolve/audio fade on a cut, it automatically puts a dissolve/fade on the beginning and ending of the clip….not just on the cut I’ve selected.
Is there anyway to turn this off? So that the transition is only applied at the point where I want it to?

Which version of Premiere are you using? The default shortcut for adding a dissolve is CMD+D. Also, make sure you have actually selected the cut or the end of the clip, rather than the entire clip.
