  • Automatic Duck – FCP motion parameters not carrying over to Avid correctly

Using Automatic Duck to send a sequence from FCP 7 to Avid Symphony 5.
Original clips are QT, Pros Res HQ, 1080p, 24fps.
They have been put into a FCP SD sequence — 24fps no field dominance,
    uncompresses-8bit, 720×486, 601 NTSC (40:27) — and edited.
Clips have been re-positioned, re-sized and cropped to fit into SD graphic boxes with lots of graphic text.
FCP sequence exported with Duck via AAF, create externally linked files, 24fps, 1:1.
    And Imported into Avid.
But the clips in Avid don’t match the FCP parameters — they are way too small and not positioned the same!
I suspect that this has something to do with the fact that the original QT clips are HD.

Does anyone have a good workflow suggestion, so that layout in FCP will carry over to the Avid?
I need clips in Avid to have some handles, and to be re-sized and repositioned exactly as they appear in FCP.

    THANK YOU.
