automatic duck
Posted by Creative Animal jan on April 7, 2006 at 10:12 pmit imports the edl data no problem. It also imports avid video (OMF) but not for all codecs! Especially importing DV25 footage seems to be impossible. Are there any other applications that can do the trick?

April 7, 2006 at 11:06 pmI’ve never had an issue with any OMF coming in from Avid and I’ve been using the duck almost since he first released it. What do you mean, importing DV25 doesn’t work? You just set the codec you want to re-capture to and go.

April 7, 2006 at 11:19 pmWes, you’re too fast on this stuff.
one thing I did think of, you want to open the OMF using the same settings as the Avid original to ensure it works correctly each time. That is, if the Avid OMF is an 8bit uncompressed, set 8bit uncompressed as the Sequence preset in FCP when you open the project.
