Automated Action Stops on Save
Have created an action to add a layer, create text, flatten layer, save and close, to watermark images. Although the save JPEG quality was included in the action, it stops and requires a manual respone to continue. This means hitting the Enter key hundreds of times when automated.
How can I get the images to save and close without manual intervention to specify JPEG quality?

Use the Image processor script and get your JPEGs converted first
JPEGS are TERRIBLE authoring formats and should be avoided as much as possible… every time you save the file you are further compressing and damaging it.
