August 28, 2021 at 1:53 pmIn the “internal” preferences, (hold shift while clicking on the options menu item) search for msAutoSaveInterval. The default is 300000, which is 300 seconds.
Be very careful in the Internal dialogue.

August 28, 2021 at 3:26 pmIn “Help/Search” enter “autosave”. Save has changed from the “simple legacy Autosave function from former versions of VEGAS Pro.”

September 1, 2021 at 10:00 pmYou also have an interesting option to automatically Save on each and every editing step that you take. It is called LIVE SAVE. You access it by going to TOOLS | ADVANCED SAVE… Then Select LIVE SAVE. If your project happens to freeze or have a problem, you now have the very last step saved (without having to use Control S or any other method of saving). To turn it OFF, just uncheck the box (for working with templates, etc.) There are several ways to Save, but I found this to be the best in case of emergency shutdowns, etc. Just go to the VEG folder and restart VEGAS Pro to the very latest step that you took.
