  • auto key frame many layers -> convert to markers

Posted by Richard Lyons on December 8, 2010 at 9:43 pm

    Hi,

I have a comp with a few hundred layers in all timed out across a long comp – is there a way to select all layers, then add a position keyframe to the first frame of each layer rather than manually?

I then need to convert all the keyframes to markers.

Basically I am looking for a way to skip through to the start of the next layer in a comp – the only way I have found is ‘j’ or ‘k’ to go from marker to marker.

    Any help would be great…

    Many thanks,

    Rich

I think there’s an easier way.

Cmd-UpArrow on a Mac (Ctrl-UpArrow on a PC) selects the next layer up in your timeline. Cmd-DownArrow / Ctrl-DownArrow selects the next layer down in your comp.

The ‘i’ key jumps to a layer’s in point; the ‘o’ key jumps to its out point.
