Auto-dock a tag plugin at startup
Hi everyone,
I’m currently setting up a product render project that needs the flexibility to swap out many different bottles and labels. I am using a plugin called “MagicTextureMap” to accomplish the label swapping, because it has a nice interface where you can visibly see all your options and pick the one you want. This project needs to be simple enough that someone not trained in C4D can accomplish the task of managing these product renders
The challenge I am coming across is that after I save the project with the Magic Texture Map interface docked where I want it, when I open it up again, the window for it is still there, but the plugin is not. In order to get the plugin in that spot again, I have to launch it from it’s tag in the object manager, and then move the floating window back into position.
My question is, how can I avoid those extra steps, which really complicate the easy, teachable interface I’m going for. Is there a way to keep a plugin docked where I left it? Is this perhaps a problem specific to tag based plugins? Or is there a better plugin anyone can thing of that would work?
Thank you for any and all advice on this.
