Hello, guys, I’m having a little issue with AE. Not really a problem, but it’s annoying.

Everytime I write with the text toll, the anchor point is displayed right bellow the text, and it’s a problem for scalling, rotations and stuff.

Is it a config problem? How can I fix it?

In addition to Dave’s suggestion, I heartily recommend buying the RepositionAnchorPoint script [link]. It’s a dockable script that lets you quickly move the anchor point of a layer to its center, corners, or compass points.

    Thanks for the reply.

It worked, the pivot is centered, but I could’n manage to change its vertical position. How can I do that?

Looks like an interesting plugin, but its shareware. Is there anything like this, but freeware?

The suggested price is only $10. It’s well worth it.

Alternately, you can reposition anchor points by hand with the Pan behind tool [link] — the keyboard shortcut is Y.

It is a suggested payment of $10. You can download it for nothing. I usually test out a script without paying. Then, if it works well for me, I go back and throw down the suggested price, sometimes more if it saves me hours of time (compsfromspreadsheet was one of those – saved me tons of time for a certain project). I figure if a person saves me time and money by writing a useful script, they deserve it. You want them to continue to make useful scripts, right?

Yeah, it’s a good ideia to pay those who help us out. I’ll check this plugin out, thanks for the advice!
