I have an hour+ worth of footage clips of various length that I dropped
in the timeline to export for the client to preview.

Is there a way to automatically assign chapter markers at each clip break. There are well over 100 clips and will take too much time to manually add a marker for each one. It seems there should be a way, just not sure how to get there.

    Thanks,

    Not that i know of.

It doesn’t take that long to add a chapter marker though. When you press the down arrow, it takes the playhead to the next cut. Then Press M to make a marker. Press M again to open the Marker dialog box, then click Add Chapter Marker. Then press Enter/Return. It can be done mostly without the mouse, so it’s not that bad.

If you ask me, you don’t need to add chapter markers for a client preview. Use a timecode generator
