Audition will not load
After installing Audition 1.5, it tries to start and gets as far as “scanning effects”. It will sit there will the aplash page for about a minute along withthe hour glass, and then it just disappears.
I went to the control panel and to add/remove programs clicked on the audition program and chose repair. It still does the same thing and will not load. I have also tried reinstalling and there is no change.
It’s a Dell PC with plenty of resources.

I suspect that an errant plugin is at fault, hopefully it’s a VST plugin.
Try renaming if you have the VSTplugins folder in the program files folder to 1VSTplugins or something similar. Then start Audition. If it works you’ll have to one by one delete or rename the plugins in the folder till you find the culprit.If that doesn’t work try removing any other software with plugins and restarting Audition.
Your Sound card or device could also be problematic.
