I’ve been working with audition for 4 month’s or so, and now all of a sudden it crashes at startup. it seems to load ok, but as soon as the main window opens it gives a popup saying

“shutting down, to continue working where you left off, restart audition”.

if you “ok” that, it says

“runtime error, program :C program files adobe premiere yadayada adobe audition.exe R6025 – pure virtual function call”

    what’s wrong? nothing has changed?

I installed an ac3 extraction and into wav convertion program, and a FLAC file program. i thought that might be the problem, but uninstalling them didn’t work.

i tried to repair audition, i’ve reinstalled it, i’ve reinstalled entire adobe, but i get the same result everytime.

What version of Audition are you using? 2.0 can do this and if you are using vista you have double trouble ……….. WILLIE

Experiencing similar problem with AA3 startup.
Tech support for product provided DOS tools to conduct deep uninstall, but this did not resolve problem. Tech support escalation in progress (takes days)

A particular Windows XP process (Flex?????) is not started.
