This isn’t a big deal but some insight would be appreciated. It seems to me that all of the loops in Audition are 32 bit 44khz. So, if I create my sound effects and soundtrack stuff there and bring it into Premiere for a dv project, which uses 16bit 48khz, is that any sort of issue at all? I doubt it but want to check with the pros. Or, should I just set up every session as a 16bit 48khz default and go from there? Thanks.

Once you have finishded your project in Audition, you should resample it to 16 bit, 48kHz before saving the files to import to Premiere. Otherwise you could end up with files not playing back as they should. I believe Premiere actually does this resampling for you (hence the folder with all the “Conformed audio” clips), but I would do it in Audition first to be sure it sounded like I wanted it.

    Have fun!

    Ragnar,

You can change the sample rate on the edit side of Audition … P Pro will change it when you render also … WILLIE

Thanks guys. I think I will just go with Audition’s defaults and let Premiere Pro conform it. Happy editing.
