    You can use the modify menu to change levels on whole tracks… choose the clips, then choose modify/audio…

    hm, thats a hint, but not exactly what I was looking for.

    I’d like to have something like a line for the soundlevel (in the timeline), as you have for each clip in a track, but one single line for the whole track. Then I want to ad keyframes there and adjust the up and downs.

    Is the Audiomixer the only way to do it?

    Yes there is a way… Nest the audio. Then keyframe the nested clip.
