Ahh yes, i have recently installed sony vegas pro 9c 32-bit on my PC. Excited to try it out i decided to import some avi.’s and test out some of the effects.. etc. But, after i import the video clips i soon discover that only the audios’ operational while the video is nowhere to be seen.

The audio plays but the video does not show up in the editor or preview screen.

    PLZ HELP!

What kind of AVIs are they?
    Where did they come from?

Thank you for such a quick reply but i have already found a solution. All i needed was a codec upgrade, so i installed the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and problem solved.

You could be missing some video codecs. If you are using the Explorer tab in Vegas and select your AVI, the properties of both the video and audio streams should appear at the bottom of the window. If you see information about the audio stream but not the video stream, you are most likely missing the required video codec on your PC.

Installing a codec pack is never a good idea as all kinds of stuff that you don’t need (and could cause problems down the road) gets installed along with it.
It’s always better to use a utility like the GSpot Codec Information Appliance, find out exactly what codec you’re missing and install only that one.
