Audio works but Clips to audio don’t upload???
Hey well I just got Vegas and was kinda really excited and then I tried to import a videoclip so that I could try out the new stuff, unfortunately the audio was imported but strangely the video part of the clip wasn’t.
Any idea why????

That’s usually a sign that you’re trying to use a file (Divx, Xvid) that Vegas doesn’t have the codec for.
What kind of video are you dragging to the timeline (i.e. where did it come from)?
If it was from a DVD, try renaming the VOB file to MPG.
From a DVD again, try the File – Import – DVD Camcorder disc option.
As long as it’s not a copyrighted disc, it’ll work on miniDVDs and full-sized DVDs equally well. -
oh yea I imported the file into Windows Movie Maker and then “saved as movie” and noticed then it worked….
But it takes really long to do that to all my clips…considering I have a few over a thousand.
I checked the info and found out that the it’s a “videoclip” file type….doesn’t tell me a lot, but I downloaded them from bluelagoon.com or something like that.
Anyway thanks for your help, is there a add on or codex you can download so that Vegas supports those files though????

Sorry Allie but that still doesn’t tell us anything about the codec being used.
Download and run a very helpful utility called GSpot (yes, that’s what it’s called) and let us know what it says as far as a codec.
Armed with that information, we might be able to help you.
Another thing that would help is if you could post a few seconds of a clip on a website somewhere for us to download and look at.
