We have the new Sony F3. I am working on a project where we have footage from 7 cities around the world. Most of them ingest just fine into PPro, but a few days of shooting are coming in without any audio — at least when I play from the bin.

When I add those clips to the timeline, the audio comes through, but still, the waveform doesn’t appear on the timeline.

Here is what this looks like on the timeline. The clip on the left is the weird one, on the right is fine. Audio SOUNDS fine for both, but where is my waveform? And why doesn’t the one on the left play audio when I preview in the bin?

In case this helps, here are the properties from the clip:

Has anyone seen this? Am I doing something dumb?

It appears the cache needs to cleaned and the audio re-conformed. after a reboot. I’d leave the conforming bar finish before starting to edit. 🙂

Preferences: Media, Clean cache. Reboot PPro.

    Thanks, Jon …

That made perfect sense, but I tried it and unfortunately it didn’t help.

    Has anyone else seen this?

    Thanks!
