I have been doing this for a long time but I still can’t get this. The default on the TRIM ch 1and ch 2 on AUDIO SET menu is -41dBu. How to I make it louder? Towards -20 dBu or towards -65 dBu.

I too am puzzled by the trim settings on my EX 1. Although I have set my two channels at different levels to suit the mics I use, it seems from the manual that these settings only apply when the mic is set to ‘internal’. Is this so, can someone enlighten me and Bob please?

To make it louder, go toward -65dBu.

Not near a camera right now, but you might want to check the position of the slider right at the XLR input. The audio trim may be applicable only when that slide is set to mic level in? I know that the Trim tweak in the menu works for external mics.

In my post I referred to the trim settings only applying to the internal mic, I should have said “when the audio levels are on manual”. Will the trim settings apply even when levels are set to auto? The manual seems to indicate not.
