Audio Transitions. Multiple channels and saving presets.
When doing a lot of audio cleanup work, I find that I’m adding a ton of little crossfades to clean up the little pops that sometimes happen between audio cuts. Firstly, I was wondering if there is a way to create a custom transition that is something like 2 frames long that I can quickly apply to such cases. I know about altering the Default Transition time, but I don’t want to do that, because I would also like to have a Preset ‘Normal’ duration of fade that I can use in normal cases where I actually want to fade the audio.
My second question about fades has to do with how they behave with clips that have multiple channels. I’m working with many clips that have 3, 4 and even 5 channels of audio sometimes. The audio and the video are linked together, and when I use the trim tool to trim either side, all channels of audio are trimmed accordingly at the same time. I’m wondering, is there some way to make editing a fade work this way as well? The way it currently works on my machine is, I apply a fade, and then if I want to edit the duration, I have to drag 5 fades to the corresponding length. As you can imagine, over the course of a long edit with many many audio cuts, this gets very tedious and time consuming.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
