  audio track does not appear in timeline

  Help! A vexing problem:

  Every once an a while, I lose the ability to edit audio tracks onto my timeline.

  I load a clip that definitely has audio into the canvas, and I do not see the source track on the timeline. It’s missing. It even happened with video one time.

  If I change sequences, the track appears.

  Why why why?
