How would one go about having their audio control one of their video layers opacity?

    Example Of What I Want/Mean:
So I have 2 video layers and 1 audio layer. Video layer 1 is the background picture. Video layer 2 is a smaller picture that will overlay video layer 1. Instead of having video layer 2 constantly being overlaid on video layer 1, I only want video layer 2 to show when the audio layer is being played. (The higher the audio levels the higher video layer 2’s opacity is and vise versa)

I’ve looked for something like this all over the place but couldn’t find anything. Any answers are helpful and hell if you can redirect me somewhere that can show me how this is done then all the more better. Thank You!

Up to this point I was thinking – Stills to Markers, it’s an old, OLD script that works – but you’re wanting a gradual Video levels change DRIVEN by a preset, already in place changing Audio Level. You’re wanting an Audio change to influence the Video Level? Yes?

I’m really racking my Brain cell for this one . . . .

    Hmmm…

Automatic way (?): take a look at BCC Beat Reactor
Manual way: use Composite envelope to change track opacity

    +1

BCC Beat Reactor cannot control the Vegas Pro track opacity but perhaps it can control a plug-in that has opacity as a controllable parameter.

Layer Dimensionality has an Opacity parameter.
