    We are editing a travel show with material primarily shot with the HDX-900. This is material which is being shot by another production company. Mixed in with this footage will be some smaller potions of footage we shot with the original

    If you tell your crews anything, I’d suggest you tell them to show you a clap stick slate at the head of the first roll. This will let your editors determine proper sync offset if any.

    I have used footage from the HDX-900 on a couple dozen projects now and I have yet to see 1 issue where the audio and video are out of sync because of the camera.

    Thanks Matt. Sync is good on the footage I have seen so far from the 900. I just wanted to make sure there was no VTR menu item that might affect this. Yesterday I did an exhaustive read of the manual and was unable to find mention of such. So I assume Panasonic has set audio to be dead on right out of the box.
