Audio Sync issue with CS3, but not CS2

I’ve yet to see CS3 capture an HDV clip via firewire correctly. You’d think after trying to capture over two dozen tapes, if CS3 was capable of capturing correctly, I would have seen it. Especially since all other capture tools I have can capture the same tapes on the same hardware just fine (PPro 2.0 included).
For my HDV workflow, CS3 was a total step backwards in every aspect except rendering and outputting. It renders better (faster than real time on my dual quad core) and outputs better quality than 2.0. Unfortunately, it takes an act of God to get a project to that point 😉

You fellows are way ahead of me on the video editing lingo so be patient.
I captured video from a mini DVD using Roxio Easy Media Creator then brought it into Premiere Pro 1.5 (PP 1.5). My 30 minute video is out of sync. It sounds like I need to get PP 2.0.
